Please know I do not profess to have all the answers, especially on the topic of servant leadership. I have fumbled and stumbled my way through team and facility leadership for 20 years. I’ve stolen shamelessly from great servant leaders I’ve worked with as well as the most influential servant leader from over 2000 years ago.
Time after time, I’ve put up my hand and owned my mistakes, humbly asking for grace and forgiveness. I’ve learned what it means to put others first in serving well. I will never reach the point where I “get it right” 100% of the time. But, I understand applying servant leadership is a lifelong journey. It’s such a worthy cause, and I believe servant leadership is the very healing ointment most organizations require today.
The servant leadership principles we’ll explore together can be easily understood in 30 seconds or less. Yet, they take a lifetime to master. I look forward to serving you well each week and am thankful for 30 seconds of your time!
